Rob Haselberg, PhD

I am life science professional, with close to 20 years of experience in (pharmaceutical) research and development. Driven by the fact that I tested positive for the Huntington’s Disease gene, I now work in a company actively developing a treatment for HD. Besides that, I have become increasingly interested in the well-being of patients. Because of this, I took up roles in various national and international patient associations (VvH, EHA, and VSOP). Due to my professional background, my focus is on clear and concise communication of difficult (scientific) information to patient groups and translating needs of patients to pharmaceutical industry and legislators. Due to my relatively young age and openness on social media, I can reach younger target audiences than the average patient organization, thereby extending the reach of information.

Within the CUREQ consortium, I will participate in the outreach activities of WP7.
